A fresh flexible seal along ridges and hips so the caps stay locked in and water stays out.
Pointing is the seal along the edge of each ridge cap, where it meets the tiles. Older roofs often have hard mortar pointing that cracks and falls away over time, leaving gaps where water and wind can get in.
Re-pointing replaces that worn seal with a flexible pointing compound that moves with the roof. On most older roofs it is done straight after re-bedding, so both the base and the seal are sound.
Pointing is one of the most visible parts of a tiled roof from the street, so a neat job makes the whole roof look sharper. If your roof is being painted, re-pointing is done before the coating goes on, so the new pointing and the tiles are finished together. Tell us if you have a preferred colour for the pointing.
Closes the gaps that let wind-driven rain in.
Flexible pointing handles roof movement better than hard mortar.
Clean, even lines along every ridge and hip.
How we work: every job starts with a written quote, so you know what is being done and what it costs before anything starts. We only work on the outside of the roof. If we find something outside the quoted scope, we stop, show you photos and give you a written price, and nothing extra goes ahead without your OK. Insurance work is supported, and you can call or text us on 0468 248 908, 7 days, 7am to 7pm.
